Sean P. Sullivan's Northwest Wine Report: Ratings & Reviews
Thank you to Sean P. Sullivan's Northwest Wine Report for his review of our 2019 Estate Pinot Noir, 2020 Estate Chardonnay, and our 2020 "Athas" Chardonnay!
2019 Estate Pinot Noir
Rating: 92 points
"This wine shows some reduction initially. Beyond that the aromas offer notes of black tea, spice, dried flower, and whole satsuma. Broad-feeling but still light, fresh flavors follow, showing depth and intensity while remaining fleet of foot. Lightly grainy tannins back it up. It’s thoroughly delightful. Give it time in bottle or a long decant. Best after 2025."
2020 "Athas" Chardonnay
Rating: 91 points
"Aromas of spice, crayon, and squash lead to lighter-bodied flavors. The palate is lower in alcohol, bringing less weight and feel. There’s plenty of flavor, however. Pair it with Dungeness crab cocktail."
2020 Estate Chardonnay
Rating: 90 points
"Cardamom, spice, roasted squash, and straw aromas lead to well-balanced flavors on the lighter side of medium-bodied, backed by lemony acidity. It’s a very pretty interpretation of the variety."
